The new outside area we developed in early Spring is now really starting to come into its own with the flowers establishing themselves in the new containers, creating a wonderful haven for bees where the honey is so local, it is made by our next door neighbours! Guests delight in meeting ‘The Girls’ and enjoy their fresh eggs for breakfast. The chicks that we hatched in February are now fully integrated with the main flock and they should start to lay eggs any day now. They will be small at first but just as delicious!
Our wonderful guests from Manchester really enjoyed our new guest areas in the lovely Spring sunshine and even when the sun went down and the evening turned chilly. They lit the firepit and opened another bottle of wine…
This area is going to be so popular this summer and the barbecue has already been lit.
The newest members of our family hatched on Mother’s Day with the little yellow chick hatching 2 days later. Only 18 weeks until they start laying delicious, fresh eggs for breakfast.
There is definitely a buzz in the air now that Spring has arrived and we are looking forward to welcoming guests back soon to discover this quintessentially English part of the country. Sussex is full of beautiful walks, great places to eat and we are not far from the coast too. Our accommodation is completely self-contained with your own access and we are working hard to enlarge our outside guest areas. We will keep you updated.
